Hi, I’m Domenico Vitale, born and raised in Naples. On this self-guided tour I’ll take you through the areas that explain the city better than any brochure can. You’ll see major landmarks like Piazza del Gesù Nuovo, Via Toledo and the Spanish Quarters, but we’ll also step into older parts of the city where Naples first developed and where its traditions really started. As we walk, I’ll give you the historical background that ties everything together. You’ll learn how the city changed under the Greeks, the Spanish, the Bourbons and finally modern Italy, and why those layers still shape the streets you’re standing on today. We’ll talk about architecture, food culture, local habits and the things Neapolitans are genuinely proud of, from their churches to their football heroes.
